Decentralized 6G Business Models
6G will change the mobile communication business ecosystem by introducing location specific high-quality wireless networks. This development will change the traditional business models and ecosystem roles, as well as open the market for new stakeholders like micro-operators and resource brokers. Paper discusses unprecedented challenges of enabling and stimulating multiple stakeholders to have a more active participation in the future 6G ecosystem. The research extends the existing four archetypes of focal firm driven business models and proposes the novel decentralized marketplace concept for the supply chain of virtualized network resources. This expands the architecture from centralization and platforms to full decentralization without a focal resource-orchestrating entity, enabled by distributed ledger technology.
