Rahim Tafazolli

Rahim Tafazolli is the Regius Professor of Electronic Engineering and Professor of Mobile and Satellite Communications.

He is the Director of ICS and the founder and Director of world’s first 5G Innovation Centre at the University of Surrey, UK.

He is regularly invited by many governments for advise on mobile communications and in particular 5G technologies.

What is Next?

The talk will highlight main differentiations between 4G and 5G and through some challenging  use cases will try to justify next generation technical requirements which can not be met through 5G and its expected evolutions. In this talk, some long term research challenges will also be identified.
